Got a call about sortin an Alert Badge for my Mum, since she’s elderly. They asked for her info real quick, which made her suspicious, and then they just hung up. Definite scam, I reckon.

I'm convinced this number is dodgy. They've rung me three times over just two days. They were incredibly impolite and even cut me off when I told them I wasn’t keen on whatever they were trying to peddle. Given the frequency of their calls, I figured it must be a telemarketing attempt. To my surprise, they dared to call me again afterward! I've since blocked the number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be ‘check your details’. Told them I wasn’t interested, but when I asked them to take my info off their list, they got rude and hung up on me before I finished talking.

They called again today trying the same trick - absolutely pointless. I've blocked the number now. I feel sorry for elderly people who might fall for this, it's disgusting how pushy they are. I don't usually leave comments, but doing this during a pandemic is just sickening.

Got a cold call about life insurance out of the blue. They seemed to have bits of my personal info too, which really worries me. Surely that’s against GDPR rules, using private data without permission? I’ve reported it to the ICO now.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Compare My Policy, wanted to chat about life insurance. I nicely asked him to take me off their call list, and he just snapped at me, saying I didn’t even know what the call was really for. Proper rude!

Someone called about my LV insurance, already knew my name and started on Life Insurance. I told them I never asked for the call and wouldn't chat. They claimed it was an opt-in call then called me "unlady like!" before hanging up. Rude as anything, but honestly, never been called that before - had to chuckle a bit.

Got a cold caller who said they were from “compare my policy” and said they were linked to Royal London life insurance. They kept pushing even after I said no thanks. Just the usual sales script. When I asked them to stop calling, they got rude and snappy. Definitely a scam, so stay clear.

Got a call from 01615050531 at 11:08 on 10/05/2020, they said they were from Aviva about my life insurance. They asked for my name, then wanted to know if I knew my monthly payments and how long the policy lasts. I only said yes to the name part, then the woman said she'd give me chance to check my details. I told her there’s loads of scams going about right now and I’m not discussing money stuff over the phone. I tried calling Aviva myself later but just got their voicemail saying no one is working because of covid 19.

Earlier today, I received a phone call on my landline from a chap sporting a rather strong Scottish brogue. He mentioned my name, which instantly put me on guard. When I politely expressed my disinterest in whatever he was attempting to sell, he seemed to lose his cool and responded in a rather hostile manner. It quickly escalated into a heated exchange, and eventually, I decided to end the conversation by hanging up. I have a nagging suspicion this was the work of some sort of scam artist.
