Those PPI calllers are such a pain.

The moment I picked up the call, they hung up. Just silence on the line. Is this some kind of scam? It really highlights how the Telephone Preference Service isn’t doing much to stop these nuisance calls.

Nearly every day around 11.30 to 12.30, I get calls from 0161 505 but with different last digits each time. I picked up the first few occasions but no one said a word. Now I just block these numbers straight away, proper annoying !

Someone called claiming to be Jake from Customer Care Direct and quickly hung up. They’re probably just tryna check their records. Don’t tell them to ring you again - that lets them keep your number.

After a brief pause of about five seconds, the caller finally said, "Hello, it's Damien here from the review team. How are you?"

To which I casually replied, "I'm doing well, cheers!"

Then suddenly, they hung up without another word.
