A caller from Red Star rang me up back in 2009, asking if I was the person they thought and if I held a credit card with Lloyds or Barclays. I didn’t have either, but they kept pestering me. Eventually, I just ended the call.

I've been getting loads of calls from Manchester numbers, all about PPI or something like that. I usually just block any number beginning with 0161505 now, helps keep the nuisance calls down.

My mum’s getting loads of dodgy calls even though she’s got one of those basic Doro phones. It’s supposed to block numbers and messages but doesn’t seem to help much. Apparently, it’s all some kind of HSBC internet banking scam going around. Quite worrying really.
