I picked up the call from this number, and a woman immediately addressed me by my first name. When I confirmed it was indeed me, she started repeating ‘going in, going in, I’m in, I’m in’ before abruptly ending the conversation! Quite peculiar, to say the least!

They ring me like 7 to 8 times daily, using different numbers each time. When I answer and say hello, the call either cuts off or I hear a sound like "call waiting." If I don’t say anything, it just sounds quiet and I end up hanging up. I do know folks in Manchester but none of their phone numbers match these calls.

Got a ring from someone called ‘Red Star’ asking if I’d ever had a credit card from 2000 to 2009. They rattled off a bunch of companies right off the bat, none of which I use. On the second go, they actually mentioned one that sounded familiar, but by then I was just tired of the whole thing. Not impolite or anything, just not bothered about whatever this supposed refund was about.

I've been receiving calls every day from a firm named Red Star, claiming that they’ve got a cheque for £2500 headed my way by tomorrow. They mentioned it's connected to PPI, which I’ve already filed a claim for, but not through them. When I probed for details about their involvement, the bloke on the other end quickly denied any connection and hung up on me. Quite suspicious if you ask me!
