This person was really rude and had a hard time understanding English. I would've expected that working for HRC, you'd need to speak English properly. There must be some way to take legal action against these annoying time wasters.

They were really horrible on the phone! Said they'd arrest me this week if I didn’t pay £3,000 straight away, then said it would be £20k later to keep me out of prison. So scary and aggressive! I can’t believe they’d treat older folks like that, it’s just awful.

I got a call from 01615048349 telling me I had to ring them back or else I'd be arrested. It really frightened me and I even ended up in tears before calling them back. When I did, they asked for my name and postcode, which I gave. Just then, my husband walked in and said I shouldn't trust the caller. Once I handed the phone to him, he said he’d report the number to the anti-scam folks. After that, the person on the other end just hung up.

Just got a call from HMRC a few mins ago, sounded fishy so I blocked it immediately. The voice said something about calling back urgently, either me or my lawyer. I’d say don’t bother answering, it’s dodgy.

I'd say this is a total scam, using really scary language that's likely to upset anyone who picks up. Best not to even think about ringing back.

Bizarre call from "HMRC" with a recorded voice threatening legal action. Best thing is to just block the number and don't respond to the voicemail, it's definitely a scam.
