I’ve just received a rather alarming call supposedly from HMRC, claiming that I owe taxes and must take immediate action or face arrest! The first call came in, recorded message, just as the clock struck 8 in the morning. Since then, I’ve had six missed calls from that same number! I just got a call from this number, and it was a rather dodgy recorded message purporting to be from the National Crime Agency concerning my national insurance.
