Got a call from some PPI company, loads of background noise like a proper busy call centre. They tried fishing for my info, said they’d post out some paperwork tomorrow and wanted to confirm my address (the address she gave me before I ended the call was a place I haven’t lived in for more than a decade!). I just hung up and blocked the number, but they keep ringing me all the time!

Honestly, I’ve lost track of how many times this firm has rang me. I just let it ring out then looked up the number and rang back, only to get an automated message saying Wilson Tarquin. They’re some sort of PPI claims business. Whenever I block one number (all from Manchester, starting 0161), they just come back on another number with a similar but not exactly the same last four digits. I’ve now put this one on my block list too.

I didn’t pick up - this number, and a few others very similar, have rung me loads of times. I phoned the number back and got a guy called Wilson Tarquin - something to do with PPI I reckon. Since I don’t have any dealings with that company, I’ve blocked this number plus all the others they might be using. It was a cold call and not something I’m interested in, so like most, I just see it as a nuisance call.
