On the evening of 1st October, my mum got a phone call just after 7pm. When she picked up, the person on the line kept saying "Hello? Hello? Hello?" She tried responding with a “Hello?” back, but then they just disconnected straight away. I’m guessing maybe they dialled the wrong number and when they heard my mum’s voice they quickly ended the call. Alternatively, it could be some sneaky trick where they want you to talk briefly so they can record your voice, then use AI to do who knows what. Nothing strange has happened since, but it’s probably best to stay cautious.
