FRAUD ALERT: I received a call from an automated voice purporting to be Amazon, stating that my Prime membership had lapsed and that £95 had been deducted from my account. They prompted me to ring a number to resolve the subscription issue. Strangely enough, they didn’t mention my name, and I’ve never given Amazon this phone number, which only amplifies my suspicions. Even if the call didn’t immediately raise red flags (which it certainly did!), this glaring inconsistency clearly marks it as a con. Beware of these fraudulent scammers!
