got a call supposedly from talktalk security, and the way they answered almost instantly made me wary. recently, i've had a few calls like this where the person just went on and on without really explaining why they were ringing, and honestly seemed less clued up about the internet than me - and that’s saying something! now, i just tell them to send me an email instead. i’ve never actually got any email from them, and one even tried to get me to do stuff on my laptop, which made me think they’re just trying to sneak into my system.

Got a ring from someone saying they were with TalkTalk’s security team. I didn’t get stuck in much as I’ve had a couple of calls before where the caller went on and on, and one even tried to get me to do stuff on my computer (no way was I letting that happen). Every time I tell them to send an email instead, but since I haven’t received anything, I’m pretty sure it’s just some scammers after my laptop access.
