Honestly, the moment I pick up, there’s this automated voice saying there’s some dodgy activity on my Visa or Mastercard. I don’t even bother sticking around to hear the full spiel anymore, just cut the call straight away. Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

Got a call claiming to be about my Visa and Mastercard being used fraudulently. Sounds like one of those scam calls to me. Don’t hand over any personal info or agree to anything if you don’t know the number. Stay safe!

This number rings me up a couple of times every week, but no one ever says a word when I answer. I’m pretty sure their plan is to get you to ring them back, probably on a premium number, and then keep you waiting to make money off it. Since I’m retired and pretty free, I just keep them on the line quietly without saying anything, hoping it wastes their time a bit.
