4 yearsOnce I brought this matter to the attention of the police, I was quite taken aback to receive a rather surprising letter from Moorcroft Ltd the very next day. It stated that the amount I owed to Global Ltd was now settled, and that Moorcroft would no longer be dealing with Global Ltd on my behalf. Instead, they suggested I direct any future communication straight to Global Ltd. It’s a bit peculiar, as that so-called ‘debt’ I supposedly owed to Global Ltd had been a live balance I had been paying Moorcroft for years, merely under a different reference number. There was no new debt, nor any change in the companies involved in this transaction. It’s quite baffling how, apparently, one can trade the details of a debt back to the original creditor and frame it as a ‘new’ obligation. Regardless, I’m pleased to say that this issue seems to have been resolved.
