The phone stayed dead quiet for a few secs before they just hung up on me.

I got a call from a local number so I picked up, but there was nothing but silence for a good five seconds. Right when I was about to end the call, an automated message popped up saying I'd missed a call from 'Highbury Sales and Marketing'. I quickly hung up and decided to block the number.

I had cavity wall insulation fitted a while back and after that, I noticed some damp appearing but never really reached out to anyone about it. Today, I got a call from a company saying the original firm went into liquidation and lots of folks have been complaining about damp problems. They told me they’re now trying to fix those issues.

Got a call saying I’d won a holiday to Lapland or a £5000 cash prize! Didn’t remember entering any contest or survey at all. Then they asked if I was married, if I lived with my husband, and whether our combined income was over £35,000 a year. They said it meant I could get a discount holiday to somewhere like the Costa del Sol. I told them I wasn’t interested in the offer whatsoever, and they just said thanks and goodbye. Really strange situation.

Didn’t pick up the call but tried calling back and some robotic American lady said the number isn’t active. How on earth can they call a number that’s supposedly not in service? Really weird.
