Definitely not their best scammer, this one was pretty nasty. When I faked being someone else, they actually said "listen, Beach" to me. Proper rude!

Got a call yesterday, but since I've got BT's 'call protect', they didn’t bother leaving any message. Quite funny if they were trying to talk about a computer issue, considering I don’t even own a computer! So yeah, pretty sure it was just some kind of scam.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was from BT Openreach, and he even knew my name. Said my IP address was exposed or something and warned me I was at risk of getting hacked. He asked me to open Google and do exactly what he told me. Seemed fishy, like he was trying to nick my IP details. Ended up just hanging up on him. Seriously, has BT Openreach become the latest hunting ground for these con artists?

Got a call from a bloke who said his name was Adam, sounded Asian. Claimed he worked for Microsoft. When I asked what the call was about, he said my computer had errors that had been going on for weeks and needed sorting. Told him I didn't even own a computer, and then the call just cut off.

Received a call from this number earlier. The message kicked off with something like, "At this moment, you're the only person..." before abruptly cutting off. I tried returning the call, and a voice, clearly with an American twang, thanked me for my call to "Online service dat..." but the rest of the title was a bit fuzzy. They went on to express gratitude and requested I leave my details for a callback. I’m almost completely convinced this is a scam. I’d wager they'll be back to pester me again.

Received a call from this number yesterday. Thankfully, I've got BT’s call protect feature switched on, and they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail. If it was about an issue with my computer, they’ve got the wrong person because I don’t own one! It feels like a scam to me, so keep your wits about you!

Answerd the phone and said hi, there was a long pause which made me think it wasn’t local, even tho the code looked like it might be. A guy said he was from ‘Microsoft’. I’ve had this kind of call before, so I quickly told him I knew he wasn’t really from Microsoft and cut the call off. Then the phone rang again right after from the same number, but I just ignored it and didn’t bother picking up or leaving a message.

Yesterday around lunchtime, there were three messages shared here explaining clearly what to do if you really want to put an end to these scams. It's pointless just whinging without trying anything. Get active. Imagine if even half the people checking this feed followed the advice given, maybe we’d actually see some progress in stopping these crooks. Got a call from some man called Derek, claimed to be from Microsoft. He said my PC was sending error reports or something back to them. I had a gut feeling he'd try to get remote access, so I just told him to jog on before things got any weirder.

This number was unknown to me, so I just let it ring out. No voicemail left either, which is telling. Honestly, why pick up numbers you don’t know? If it’s a legit call, they’ll surely drop a message. Picking up these calls just gives them the green light to keep going. If loads of people ignored them, they wouldn’t have anyone on the other end!

BEWARE, it’s a SCAM! Make sure you say something about these fraud calls. Just Google ‘action fraud’ and head to the 'police.uk' website. Find the section for reporting phishing and take your time to read all the info there. After that, put all the scam info straight into their system, including any web links or URLs you have. This is the only way the cops can keep track of how big this problem really is.

I'm pretty sure this is a con. There's no way Microsoft would get in touch like this on your computer.

Lucky I was awake at 7:22am, otherwise my phone would’ve been off by now thanks to idiots like them. Some joker had the nerve to call me a #### for supposedly faking their identity.

These scammers honestly should just disappear and stop bothering people. They should be really embarrassed about what they’re doing.

Had a quiet phone twice today, first one at 7.15 in the morning and no sound on the line at all. Not sure who it is.

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, said she was ringing on behalf of Microsoft. I picked up and joked, "Wow, it’s been forever since you lot called!" She hung up right away, which was a bit odd. Thing is, I don’t think she properly cut the line because I could hear weird beeping noises for about five minutes after. Was tempted to just leave it going to cost them, but in the end, I just hung up myself.

There was a pause of a few seconds before a guy with an accent asked if I was who they wanted. I told them they had the wrong person, and then they just ended the call. I've blocked the number since then.

Absolute scumbag pretending to be from Microsoft! Same old story about my computer being compromised or some nonsense like that. I immediately called her bluff when she started with that rubbish, told her to stop wasting my time and never to ring me again, and of course she just hung up. It's been some time since I had one of these annoying calls, so looks like they're back on the hunt again. Honestly, they deserve to be locked away in some dark cell with no chance of ever bothering anyone else!

Was called by a lady pretending to be from Microsoft, what a joke! When I called her out on being a scammer, she got all rude and started lashing out. Definitely not happy being caught out. Totally a scam, don't fall for it.

This number keeps ringing me up really early in the morning, way before what I’d consider proper business time.

Got a call on my home phone earlier today from a woman speaking with what sounded like an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft (yeah right!). The number showed up as somewhere in Manchester, so I asked which city she was actually ringing from. She muttered Reading or somewhere else, definitely not Manchester! I told her I was aware Microsoft never make unsolicited calls, so she quickly ended the call. There was no noisy background like a call centre, so maybe she was working solo this time.

I got a call from this number but it didn’t show up with a contact name on my phone, so I just ignored it. They didn’t leave any voicemail or message either. After reading some reviews here about Microsoft scams, I decided to block the number just to be safe.
