I said hello and got nothing back, so I just blocked the number.

So this bloke rings me up, first says he’s from SSC or something, but as the chat goes on, it turns out he’s with Northumbrian Electricity. Creepy bit was he already had all my details - name, where I live, my email and even who I get my electricity from. He was pretty nice about it though, telling me he could chop down my bill from more than a hundred quid to less than seventy.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with British Gas, saying the energy rates were increasing today. He tried to get me to sort out my tariff but when I refused, he got quite annoyed and told me my bill would rise immediately. He had a Nigerian accent, I think. I just ended the call.
