Got a call from a bloke who didnt speak English very well. He said he was calling from HMRC and asked if I’d got any letters from them, said they’d been tryin to contact me. He knew my name and where I live. When he asked again if I’d got any letters, I said no. He told me to call the local office. I said I couldn’t, so he asked why not. Then I asked him for my NI number. He told me one but it wasn’t mine, so I told him it was wrong and the call just ended suddenly.

Got a call that seemed like a scam, they already had a bit of info about me and tried to say I could claim for an accident not long ago. Then they asked for more info about my car, like which one I was driving since they reckoned I owned more than one. Thing is, I only have the one car and haven’t had an accident in over 10 years!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent asking me to verify some info. I told her I'd wait for an official letter from HMRC first. The call quality was awful, really crackly at the start. They rang at 6.20pm but no one answered, so I thought it might be a scam and was ready to block the number. Then they called back at 6.22pm, gave my name and address, claiming I'd been in an accident. I told them the person they named had actually moved away 5 years ago, but used to live next door and was now in Armley Prison serving time for murder. After that, they just hung up.

I got a call from this number yesterday morning but there was nothing listed on this site back then. I didnt pick up since I don't know anyone from Manchester anyway.
