Its been ages since I last got a call from these scammers, but looks like they’re up to their old tricks again. Just great, right around Christmas they decide to start annoying folks and trying to swindle them!

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be John, the window cleaner. He inquired if I was interested in having my windows spruced up. I'm a bit sceptical about whether he's genuine, but the truth is, I'm not in need of any cleaning services at the moment.

They called me twice but left no voicemail. If it was an honest call, wouldn’t they just leave a message? Also, cold calling feels so outdated nowadays, it’s almost like having a door-to-door salesman knocking on your door. You don't even really know if these people are legit sales reps.

If that last comment is spot on about it being from a window cleaner yesterday, then he’s definitely covering a bit too much ground! I’m in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, and it must have been trying for a while since it actually fell off my mantelpiece from the vibrating.

So I got a ring from a bloke named John who said he does window cleaning. He asked if I wanted him to sort my windows, and I said yeah, why not? He told me he’d be round tomorrow. He says he’s from around here.
