Total scam. Caller claimed I was owed a refund from my phone provider. Spoke with a weird foreign accent and there was loads of noise in the background. Asked me for personal info, so I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from this number with an automated voice saying something about my BT broadband and landline. They mentioned illegal activity, which sounded dodgy, especially with all the talk about BT switching landlines to broadband routers lately. I hung up and looked up the number - it’s supposed to be a legit BT line from Manchester. But when I phoned BT directly, they said nobody from them called me today. Definitely scammers faking the number.
