Got a dodgy call today, some robotic voice claiming to be "bank security" warning me about two withdrawals from "my" account - funny thing is, they never said which bank or anything specific, which always screams scam to me. They said there was a £300 payment to Amazon and another chunk, about a grand, sent to some overseas money transfer place. Then they tried to get me to press numbers to cancel or chat with someone. Pretty sure if I’d played along, it would’ve connected me to some fake fraud team, probably in India somewhere like Kolkata. Total scam.
