They addressed me by name, claiming to be representatives from a debt advice service, stating they possessed my details because I was enrolled in a debt management scheme. Curiously, I asked her where she had obtained my information, but she appeared reluctant to divulge that. When I pressed further, it became quite clear that the only accurate piece of information she had was my name and phone number. I informed her sternly that I wasn't in debt and had never been on any such plan, and I insisted she erase my details from their records. At that point, she abruptly hung up. Feeling rather perplexed, I decided to ring the number back, and another woman picked up. I recounted the previous conversation and expressed my confusion. She informed me that my information had been sourced from "getmein.com," a website dedicated to finding tickets for various events. Apparently, I had inadvertently answered "yes" to a query about debt struggles, which triggered the transmission of my information. I told her I did not believe her claims, as I had merely been browsing for tickets and had not interacted with any such prompt. I requested to be removed from their database, and she assured me that she would comply-I suppose now it’s a matter of waiting to see what unfolds. From now on, I'll be steering clear of "getmein.com" to prevent my details from being captured or potentially sold.

I recently received a call from this number, and they mentioned my name directly. However, they didn't provide any information beyond that.
