Got called about four times in twenty minutes by some energy firm. Went ahead and blocked the number now.

got a call at about 4 this afternoon. they asked for someone i dont know and when i tried to find out who was calling, they wouldnt tell me and kept asking who i was instead. my number is on the tps list so clearly they are ignoring the gdpr regulations. not shocked at all.

Got a call from some guy, jimmy, working for eco-something, saying they could check if we qualify for a government grant to get free electricity. When i asked how they got our number, he said it was from a marketing data firm. Told him we’re on the TPS, and he reckoned you need to sign up again every 6 months. We had a bit of a back and forth, but in the end he just said he’d given me the info and it’s my choice what to do with it.

Got a robocall with no one on the other end, just some message saying their agents are busy - total waste of time. When I try calling back, another automated voice says it’s some marketing call. No clue who they even are. I’ve blocked the number, but it keeps popping up again. So annoying!

I got a call from this number out of the blue. The person on the phone claimed to be from a UK energy company and even knew my name. I quickly told them to stop calling and to take me off their contact list. The bloke sounded irritated and asked why, insisting they weren’t trying to sell me anything. I explained that it was an unwelcome call, that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, hadn’t agreed to be contacted, and was happy with my current energy supplier. He seemed frustrated again and repeated he wasn’t selling anything. By then, I realised he wasn’t really listening and was just trying to convince me I needed the call rather than respecting my request. So, I just ended the call and blocked the number to avoid any more bothered.
