I received an international call on my mobile, and when I checked the number, it showed as 0161 444 00 84. I decided to ring them back using 141 for anonymity, but when I spoke to a man who was trying to sound female, they asked me for a reference number and my postcode. I immediately told them where to stick it! This is definitely a scam - I’ve encountered these dodgy calls from the same international number on multiple occasions. If you get a call from this 0161 number, just ignore them and don’t share any of your personal details. I've blocked them on my phone, too!
