I got a call from this number with a recorded message saying my debit card had been used abroad and £600 was about to be taken out of my account. They asked me to press 1 or 2 to talk to someone, but I didn’t share any details and ignored their prompts. Later, I checked my bank and everything was fine with no unusual charges. Definitely a dodgy call, so I just ended it straight away.

Got a call from someone asking about a car crash I’ve never had. Bit annoying really. My number's supposed to be private, so how on earth did they get hold of it?

Had an amusing encounter with a right dodgy character who rang me up claiming there'd been some kind of car accident. The chap sounded like he didn't hail from these parts and insisted on addressing me as 'ma’am'. I've got my number unlisted, so I promptly told him to remove it from whatever list he’s peddling and to refrain from calling me again. I've never had a scrape on the road, mind you!
