When they rang the first time, they just dropped the call as soon as I picked up. The next time, I got a recorded message saying, "Hi, this is MoneyHut, it’s not an urgent call, but if you want to get in touch, just call us back on 0800 ????." I've decided to block the number now!

I got calls from some PPI firm based in Manchester. They were trying to steer me towards NatWest and even eavesdropped on my phone chats to collect info. Definitely had to block their number.

Who on earth keeps ringing our mobile? We’re completely deaf, for crying out loud! We can't even return the call to tell them to back off. Honestly, it's beyond frustrating. Why on earth would they call us when they clearly know we can’t hear? It's as if these folks can't grasp the situation at all. Truly a bunch of nonsensical nuisances!

He kept insisting I requested a callback last week, which I didn’t. I also told him to stop calling me, but he just carried on asking questions like I was still up for a chat. So, I got this Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 a few days back, right? It's 4G, comes with a SIM card and you can even make calls on it. Got it set up with Three UK. Then, just two days later, I get a call on the tablet itself - weird, I know! I didn’t even realise it was ringing properly at first, so I just ignored it. Decided to check the number and ended up here. A brand new tablet and now they wanna "help me sort out debts"? Seriously, what a joke! Absolutely hilarious!

When I get those pesky calls, I like to say I’m pretty deaf and then let them get all shouty at me - it cracks me up! I tell ’em they’ve reached the local funeral director and it’s hilarious hearing them apologise for disturbing me. A copper once told me to try blowing a whistle into the phone, which was a laugh. Me and my mates, all pushing 70, reckon a few colourful words do the trick too. So beware, cold callers, we’ve got you sussed!

The woman on the line said they’d never rung before, which is definitely not true! Right from the start, she asked for me by my first name which felt a bit odd and unprofessional. She claimed to be from a Manchester-based finance firm but I told her I’m sorted - own my house, no loans, pay as you go phone, no contracts or credit cards, so no interest there. She wouldn’t let up though, kept pushing. I just gave up and hung up. After I disconnected, I noticed answering the call cost me money - so watch out!
