When I picked up, a bloke called 'Michael' claimed to be from some moto investigations team at the Road Traffic Department. He said I was involved in a car accident two years ago and was due a payout. I told him I wasn’t interested and firmly asked for my number to be taken off any call lists and not to share my details with anyone else. After that, the guy got quite rude, insisting "This isn’t a call centre, I can't take you off any lists, and we don’t need your personal info." He kept pushing me to answer questions about the money he said I was owed. I checked online, and that department he mentioned doesn’t exist in the UK at all. I repeated that I wanted no further calls and to be removed from whatever list they had. He then said they’d keep calling me every day because they aren’t a call centre. I pointed out that whether or not they are, having my number on a list means they can stop contacting me if they choose, and I wanted that done. He claimed I was being “aggressive” and said he was ending the call but kept talking. I told him once again not to contact me ever again and hung up.
