I received a call from someone with an Asian accent, who was apparently claiming to represent BT and stated that there were some foreign agents meddling with my internet connection. They asked me to head over to my computer. I responded by informing them that I was a police inspector and even mentioned that a colleague was on the line recording our conversation. The individual went on to say that this was against the law and abruptly terminated the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

So I got a call from someone with an Asian accent pretending to be from BT, telling me my internet was hacked by some foreign access and my connection was unstable. I told them I was a police officer and that my colleague was on speakerphone recording the call. Then, the caller freaked out, saying the recording was illegal and just ended the call.
