I got a call at 7.02 pm from a call centre, but it was quiet at first - just silence. Then out of nowhere, a bloke with a thick accent pipes up saying something like ‘accident help line calling about an accident’. Honestly, it was really annoying.

Got a call from 0161408521 about some car crash I supposedly was in, which was total rubbish. I told the bloke my number’s on the TPS list and he needs to take me off whatever list he’s got. He kept calling me ma’am, so obviously he had no clue who he was talking to.

Called about a car accident claim, so I mentioned I’d had a crash. The bloke on the phone sounded surprisingly chipper hearing that. He started asking for more info, so I said I’d been knocked over by a car last week in snowy weather. When he wanted to know where it happened, I told him Mount Everest. Then he just hung up on me - proper rude! I enjoy winding these callers up now just to waste their time. Used to get really mad and shout at them, but now I just find it hilarious, plus they don’t bother ringing again. Win-win!

He claimed to be inquiring about a car crash I purportedly experienced. Given that I've had no such incident, it was clearly a fraudulent call. I've now added the number to my block list.

Got a call from someone about a car accident claim. I tried to keep them talking, but when I mentioned there were 7 folks in the car, they just cut me off. Should've been more careful not to give away too much too quickly!
