They keep ringing me up non stop, sometimes it's a recorded message and other times a real person. They claim my internet's gonna be cut off, but I’ve had no problems with my broadband at all. I’m on the TPS, so I’ve logged a complaint with the ICO. It’s clearly a scam, and the caller’s just trying to trick me into giving away details or even money!

Got a call from some accident firm, told them I never had any crash, and just hung up then blocked the number. Even though my number's ex-directory, these dodgy firms or scammers just don't seem to care about that at all.

Not really sure, but since our number’s ex-directory and hasn't been shared with anyone, it’s probably just spam. Calls from numbers like that typically get dumped straight to the answerphone, which then tells them we’re unable to answer and that no messages can be left.

Got a call from this number earlier, some bloke with an Indian accent said he was from some accident claims department or something, asking if anyone at my place had been in a car crash. He mentioned dealing with compensation claims. Seemed dodgy, like one of those calls fishing for your personal info and bank details. From what I reckon, they probably give it a bit of time before ringing again, pretending to be your bank to scare you into transferring your money to them. Reminds me a lot of those fake ‘bank survey’ calls trying to grab your banking info.

Somebody called me claiming there’d been an accident linked to my number, which is meant to be ex-directory. I told ’em where to go and hung up quick. The accent sounded Indian or something similar. With all the tech nowadays, how come these muppets can still bother folks? I’m 71, on a pension, and I’m not falling for these scams, not with so many around. A few years back, I signed up with a site that promised to block calls like this, but clearly it’s useless. The problem is, sometimes you’ve got no choice but to answer, especially when your family or mates ring regularly, so you’re caught off guard. Hope those nasty people end up with some kind of trouble themselves.

My 86 year old mum got a call from this number and she was quite worried about it. She called me up asking what she ought to do. I advised her to just ignore any calls from unknown numbers. If it was important, they'd leave a message anyway. These calls really upset elderly people like her. She’s been losing sleep over it all. I think she got the message that she shouldn’t be picking up. This was actually the third time she got scammed today, and at one point she even called one back - I told her firmly never to do that again.

Absolutely shocking how some people ring up claiming there’s been a car crash involving someone in your family. It’s a truly nasty trick to make you panic over a made-up accident, then you quickly realise it’s just scammers trying it on. They keep ringing but with a different caller each time. This sort of behaviour should be reported because it’s awful, especially if they get through to an elderly person who might genuinely think a loved one’s been hurt. Seriously, they ought to find proper jobs instead of messing about like this. I’ve told them off countless times, but they still keep bothering me, what clowns!

I got a call about some accident they said I was involved in, but I don't even drive! Feels like they're just trying to scam me since they somehow got my info. Pretty annoying!
