Got a call from this bloke today, claiming to be with the 'Claims Department.' He insisted that, based on their files, someone at my address had been in a car crash within the past three years. The reality? No one here has had an accident in that time. Honestly, I'm fed up with these persistent callers, so I told him to get lost in a rather less civil manner!

I’ve just received a rather distressing call meant for my elderly mother, who is quite vulnerable. It raised serious alarm bells! The callers claimed to be solicitors linked to some semi-government body and stated they had information from a traffic department concerning a road traffic accident. They bizarrely mentioned that the government had granted them the right to bypass the Telephone Preference Service, especially if I mentioned it. Eventually, they transferred me to a supervisor, and both individuals had accents that sounded Indian or Asian. After a while, they simply disconnected the call.

Received a call from some outfit purporting to be 'Victorious Ltd', keen to discuss a supposed recent incident involving my car. They managed to ring my workplace first, followed swiftly by my home number, and even my fax line - all of which are in order one after the other. I made it crystal clear that I haven't experienced any kind of accident in over three years and pointed out that, should I find myself in such a situation, I'd be more than capable of pursuing a claim on my own instead of allowing them to fabricate some dubious injuries on my behalf. Yet, the chap persisted in trying to pry my personal information out of me. Let’s just say my final remark aimed at him wasn’t exactly polite! Cheers, PE

I've just received a call from this number, but unfortunately, I didn't manage to pick up. I tried ringing them back-four times, in fact! Each time, a lady with a noticeable Chinese accent answered and requested my name. I declined to provide it, to which she replied that it was simply a mis-dial. How can we put an end to these annoying calls?

I received a rather dodgy phone call this evening, the 23rd of May 2013, from someone purporting to be from an accident recovery firm, claiming I had been involved in a recent minor crash. They even had the gall to have my address and phone number at their fingertips. When I started probing with a few questions, the caller abruptly ended the conversation and just hung up on me. If you ask me, it’s nothing short of a scam.

Honestly, these callers are the absolute worst. I wouldn't shed a tear if they were all to disappear.
