Got a call from this number today, 27/9/24, claiming there were two charges on my card. I had a feeling it was dodgy but thought I'd see what happens if I pressed 2. They then asked me for my name, so I turned it back on them and said, "You rang me first, so what bank are you from?" The line then went dead. The voice was an Indian lady. Surely any genuine bank would have no problem telling you their name straight away. Don't understand how these numbers can stay in use for such a long time!

Posted an ad on Gumtree and got two calls from ‘RTA’ for Churchill, like some other folks mentioned. What’s odd is, I was involved in a no fault road accident recently and guess what? The other lot’s insurers were Churchill too! Took me a good 10 minutes to realise the connection. Proper annoying!

They call me multiple times a day, like 4 or 5 times. Usually, they either stay silent and then just hang up or they start saying something about me being involved in a car crash. Honestly, my tip is to just ignore and block them, don't pick up.

Got three calls from different mobiles, all linked to my Gumtree listings. Each time I asked for proof, they threw a couple of numbers my way - 0161 408 1616 and 0207 486 5840, apparently from RTC working with Churchill. The mobiles they rang me from were 07562 308 456, 07388 362 657, and 07397 316 545. Typical runaround really.

I put an advert up on Gumtree and got a call back right away. The person on the other end claimed to be from the natural traffic centre. I told them I wasn't involved in any accident, but they said someone in my family was. I denied that and before I could say anything else, they just hung up.

Pretty much the same here. They rang up asking about this crash I had. I had a few minutes so I gave them the rundown.
