They keep ringing and not saying a word, it's really annoying. Being disabled, these silent calls just stress me out even more.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent, said he was with BT and wanted details about my computer. Don’t even use BT, so I knew straight away he was just spinning a yarn. Let him jabber on for a minute before telling him to buzz off and remove me from his stupid list. Bet he won’t bother! Why do these muppets keep getting away with it? Someone ought to crack down on these swindlers!

I keep getting calls on my home phone from different companies. Sometimes they say they're from Microsoft, other times it's BT, and once they even started asking about my washing machine! It's really confusing.

These idiots called my mum and dad pretending to be from BT, saying their internet box had a problem and they could fix it online. They ended up nicking money from their accounts. Seems like they’re going after older folks, so someone mustve leaked our info. Now my parents are struggling big time to recover their lost cash. BT know this scam is going around but just aren’t doing anything!

Got a call from a guy claiming to be with BT, saying my computer had been hacked. I kept him on the line by asking him to talk slower ‘cause the call kept cutting out. After a bit, I told him I knew it was a con and he just hung up. I’ve blocked the number now, but seriously, why hasn't BT sorted this? That number is everywhere online. They must be catching some victims, otherwise it wouldn’t still be going on. Honestly, BT and Ofcom need to sort these scammers out - it’s just pathetic.

Typical scam call! My best tip? Jump in early with a few expletives and waste their time. I just don’t get why Offcom can’t just block these numbers for good.

Some bloke said he was calling from BT, but when we told him our internet isn’t through them, he just lost it and started swearing, told us to f@@k off and hung up. Absolutely livid with that!

Some bloke called claiming to be from Telstra's tech team, trying all sorts to get into my computer and con me. When I asked for his ABN number to check, he just started swearing like mad. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call off a woman claiming to be from BT about some security issue with my logins. She wanted me to turn my computer on, but I told her I wasn’t able to do that right then. She kept asking why and then just hung up when I said I couldn’t help. Bit rude really.

Got a call from someone pretending to be a tech support bloke from BT, but his accent was totally foreign. He was banging on with the same spiel, trying to get my folks to turn on their computer so he could ‘fix’ it. Luckily, my parents were lost and didn’t buy any of it. Honestly, Ofcom really should do something and block this number!

I got a call from this number, but honestly, I couldn't make out a single word - it was all a jumbled mess. I've seen that several others have flagged it as well. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

Got a call from a really crackly number, sounded like it was meant to make you ring back on 1471. I think they’re just trying to nick your money with some premium rate scam. My advice? Don’t bother calling them back, just block the number straight away.

Just got a phone call from what sounded like a dodgy call centre, probably from India. The person said they were from Telstra here in Australia and claimed my computer was full of viruses and my info was being nicked. They wanted me to look for some keys on my keyboard. I played the fool on purpose, and then they started swearing at me! When I told them to watch their language, they got proper annoyed and slammed the phone down. Haha!

Got a call from an Asian woman going on about some malware on my PC, just the standard nonsense. I humoured her for a bit, and when she asked if I wanted to help fix it, I said yes and then promptly ended the call. It's baffling how BT lets these scammers keep going. Why aren't the police or the courts cracking down on these muppets once and for all?

While we were away we didn’t get any voicemail. We have call screening switched on and don’t pick up calls from numbers we don’t know anymore. We always use this website to check if the number is legit or maybe a scam.

Got a call from an Indian bloke pretending to be from BT, sounded like he was just reading off some dodgy script. He told me to fire up my computer - total scam, obviously. I played along for a bit before ending the call. Then he rang me back from another number, 01782196721, wanting to pick up where we left off. I asked him why he was calling from a different number and if his mum and dad would be proud of him pulling these tricks, that’s when he just hung up on me. I guess he didn’t like what I said!

Same old story. Got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be with BT's tech support. I asked a few questions about where he was from and something seemed off, then he started getting a bit rude. Straight to my blocked numbers after that - classic scam attempt.

So, this woman called and my hubby answered initially. He left the phone off the hook and just walked off, right? Well, she had the nerve to ring back asking for "him". Apparently, the number showed our name but it took ages to track it down. She wouldn’t give up, kept going on about being from BT or something. I just told her it was a scam and shut the call down.

got a call earlier from someone claiming to be bt, saying my computer was infected with viruses. i told them straight up i don’t even own a pc. the woman on the line, with an indian accent, snapped back “you’re an idiot and wasting my time” and hung up before i could point out she was the one making the call, not me. it’s such a shame these scammers keep tricking people, hope ofcom steps in to put a stop to this nonsense soon.
