Got a call claiming we’d reserved a holiday through some company and that we were entered into a draw for £150 off our next trip, along with a load of other nonsense. They even messed up the name, asking for Miss (my mum’s name - she’s definitely a Mrs) and didn’t bother with a last name. Seemed pretty unprofessional to me. We didn’t take them up on any offers and honestly, we’re happy we didn’t.

Got a call on 19th January 2023 from Tyneside. They claimed they were from the Irish lottery and asked if I wanted to take part, saying I’d supposedly sent them a coupon - which I definitely hadn’t. Bit sus if you ask me.

I got calls from this number like 7 times, only picked up once. They were trying to scam me with some lottery nonsense, asking for cash. I've blocked them now. Today at 2.51pm, I got a call from someone named Tony. Later on, at 4.48pm, an unknown number rang me again, which turned out to be this one. They’ve also rung me before on a few other occasions: 8.37pm on 4th February, 2.53pm on 3rd February, 7.25pm on 15th January, and 4.29pm on 5th November. Some company called the Lottery Centre claims to be in the Netherlands yet their calls come from Manchester? I ended up joining a syndicate with them for a few weeks, thinking it was all legit. Now they keep ringing me to get me to join even more syndicates. It’s a bit annoying but they’re not rude or anything. Once I’ve finished with the current batch of entries, I’m definitely cancelling any payments and blocking their number. Oh and btw, I’ve only ‘won’ a measly £1 so far! What a joke!

I picked up my mobile and some bloke from ‘the lottery centre’ was on the line. He rattled on with loads of numbers and stats, then tried to sell me a guaranteed method to grab a slice of a jackpot overseas, but it would’ve set me back a couple of thousand quid. Not sure about that one, sounds dodgy to me.
