Got two calls from them, saying I’m a valued O2 customer with a cracking deal. Problem is, I’ve never even signed up with O2! I just told them nicely to buzz off and then blocked the number.

Got a missed call from this number at 2.43pm on 7/9/2023, but around the same time I got a One Time Passcode text from O2. Then, about a minute later, another call came through from a different number (02922 647147 - which I saw mentioned here as a dodgy number as well). Neither left a voicemail. I hardly ever get scam calls, but since Virgin switched me over to O2, feels like somebody’s leaked or sold my contact details!

They claimed to be from O2. Switched it up this time by coming from a Manchester number instead of Liverpool like the last few calls. I told them it sounded like a scam and they hung up sharpish.

Got another call from some O2 scam trying their luck. They kept calling me Maam and couldn’t confirm any of my details, like my name or where I live. Ended up having a bit of a disagreement with them. I even asked for info on the other numbers linked to my account, but they couldn’t provide anything. I just hung up and blocked the number. Would recommend you do that too.

Said they were from O2, but there was that typical lag before they picked up, which usually means it’s a robocall, plus the person had a strong accent. Hung up on them, but they rang again right away, so I just ignored it and blocked the number.

She claimed she could lower my bills, then said it’d be a new agreement and I wouldn’t need to pay the old one!! She kept asking if I could hear her, I said yes, but I reckon she was trying to get me to say yes out loud since I’ve heard that can lock you into a contract. Later, I called back a Leeds number but was told it wasn’t anything to worry about... Then she asked for my name, and I said, "You called me, so why don’t you already know it?" I just hung up and blocked the number.

Crikey, that was a close call! He nearly had me fooled! Promised me a cracking deal on my O2 bill, and wanted me to provide the security code he claimed he’d sent earlier. What a cheeky trickster!

Somebody rang saying they were from O2 and trying to give me a deal on my contract. When I asked what my contract included, he couldn’t say. I told him to send the details by email since O2 already have my email, then he just went quiet and ended the call :)

Got a call that seemed legit from O2, this person knew stuff only O2 would, but then they went ahead and ordered me an iPhone 14 using my own number. All the contract info ended up in my O2-registered email and the delivery was set to my address. Feels like O2 is getting something out of this mess! I never asked for any of this. If O2 rings you, just hang up.

Loads of calls coming through claiming to be O2 from different numbers, this one included. They're always saying something about a 40% discount on my plan… but why would they need to ring up for that? Surely, they could just put the discount on the bill automatically. I've told them I’m not bothered, yet the calls keep coming nonstop. Proper frustrating, especially since this all started after I switched from Virgin Mobile. O2 and Virgin, sort this out!

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, definitely a scam. Don’t give out any details, just end the call and block them straight away.

Total scam. The bloke tried to convince me I could get 40% off my O2 bill. He said he’d send me a security code by text, but then suddenly claimed I wasn’t even an O2 customer. Proper dodgy if you ask me. Definitely looks like a con!

Im usually wary of unknown numbers but they actually sounded like they were from O2 and already knew my address and phone number. I’ve just moved from Virgin to O2 recently so assumed it was legit. The message they texted looked like it was from O2 too. After the call, I rang O2 and they said no one from their team had called me. Then I found out someone ordered an iPhone 14 pro max on my account. Can’t believe I got tricked. Luckily O2 managed to fix everything.

Got another call after getting a text acting like it was from o2. The text had a one-time code and said not to show it to anyone, but to use it to access your o2 account. Obviously, my account is fine. Total scam, watch out!

Someone just called saying they were from O2, but the number didn't look right at all, so I just ended the call. When I looked up the number here, loads of others said it was a scam. I even rang O2 myself and they told me they haven’t been trying to get in touch. Definitely a dodgy call.

Got a call claiming to be from O2, saying I could get a discount on my phone bill... I stupidly fell for it while I was busy sorting dinner and looking after the grandkids. They tricked me into giving some codes, which they then used to order an Apple iPhone on my account. Now O2 are sorting it all out for me.

Just got a ring from this number saying they were from O2, but the location popped up as Manchester. They claimed I could get 50% off my bill and mentioned I'd receive 2 texts. The first text looked like the usual O2 warning about not sharing my security code, then the second text arrived. I didn’t share the code and ended the call. After that, I phoned O2 myself and they confirmed it was a scam since they’d never ask for your security details like that.
