I received a voicemail purporting to be from HM Customs, urging either myself or my solicitor to return the call or risk legal repercussions. The name mentioned was supposedly Amanda Taylor. The whole thing had the distinct whiff of a scam, so I decided to disregard it altogether.

Hello! I received a phone call from this number, where they promised me complimentary lodging at my chosen destination. When I suggested that I preferred to complete the details online, the caller offered to assist me over the phone instead. It struck me as a bit fishy, so I mentioned that I had to rush off to my shift at 3pm and couldn't continue the conversation. He apologetically said he'd call me back at that time. I've realised I won’t be picking up when he rings again, as I suspect he's after my card information.
