Some bloke rang and I just had a feeling it was a scam straight away. Taking advantage of a 90 year old lady who lived through the war is just awful, those kinds of people deserve proper punishment.

Sounds like an appliance insurance scam. The number was blocked, and when I tried calling back, no one answered - just an automated message saying they’d get back to me. Feels like some robot is ringing loads of people because they don’t have enough scammers to run all these calls. Proper dodgy, honestly!

Got the same robocall again. Left a message on my answerphone from a woman with a posh English accent, saying something like "just wanted a quick word about your home appliance insurance, I'll try you again tomorrow". Been getting these calls from loads of numbers - 01133220990, 01133308712, 01133308732, 01315690018, 01315690029, 01315690035, 01613940765, 01382752021, 02921390008, 02920958708, 02920958719, 02920958721, 02920958724, and 02921390006. They’ve reached out from places like Edinburgh, Dundee, Cardiff, Leeds, and now Manchester. Seems like they’re covering everywhere!

I was told about it after raising the number of scam calls I received with my MP. Scammers really want to keep this quiet. If you don’t report these fraud tries, don’t expect much to change. Got a call from a young Pakistani lady, who actually asked for me by name. Since I’m on the TPS list, she ended up hearing a line from the Bible - something like "BE FRUITFUL AND INCREASE IN NUMBER" or thereabouts.

I received a whole bunch of calls today. I picked up one in the afternoon, and the person claimed to be from a company providing boiler cover for just £4.99 a month, which included emergency call-outs too. However, as soon as I started probing a bit more into the details, they abruptly ended the call. Quite shady, if you ask me!
