Got one of those classic 'Event Viewer' scammers ring me up. I played along for a while, then just blasted loud tunes straight into the receiver. They didn’t hang up straight away but eventually gave in. Total waste of their time!

I just got a call from this number claiming to be Virgin Media saying my internet was hacked. Didn’t even bother asking for the account holder, which was odd. The guy on the line was an Indian bloke with a really strong accent. I told him flat out it was a scam and told him to stop wasting my time, then dropped a few choice words before hanging up.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was from my broadband company, telling me that loads of people were hacking into my online account and that it was a serious problem. When I asked her to tell me the name of the company she supposedly worked for, she just ended the call. This isn’t the first time I’ve had calls like this, and since I run a business, I can’t just block the number.

Got a call from a woman named Jennifer, sounded possibly Chinese, saying she was from Virgin Media. She told me my internet was hacked and people were using it without me knowing. She asked me to press Windows key + R and then enter some random letters into the box. I played along and kept her chatting for about 8 minutes just to waste her time since she rang me up in the middle of the night. Proper scammer.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, and surprise surprise, no voicemail left. Pretty obvious it’s either a nuisance call or some scam. Best bet? Just ignore it and never ring them back!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Open Reach warning me they'd disconnect my phone because my email was being hacked. Didn’t buy it, so I ended the call and rang my phone company straight away. They confirmed my line’s fine. Definitely a dodgy number trying to scam people.

This call popped up as a Manchester number, 01613940311, but the bloke on the other end had a thick Indian accent. He said something about an order for a phone from Amazon over £400, trying to check if we'd bought it. Got really fed up and told him to jog on before ending the call.
