Received a call purporting to be from Virgin Media, saying there’s been a breach with my Internet password being compromised and misused by someone else. No doubt about it, it’s a total scam!

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT. Told them I’m not a BT customer, but they carried on with some nonsense anyway. Ended the call when I played a recording of a noisy birthday card with minion laughing noises.

Some bloke called "Jason" claiming to be from a “Call Blocking Service” and asked if I was tired of getting annoying spam calls from abroad. I couldn’t help but laugh, then asked him what country he was ringing from. He just hung up straight away... number blocked now.

Got a call about some refund for appliances but bloke wouldn’t say which firm he was with. Told him he sounded like a scammer and he flipped it, saying we were the scammers! Pretty obvious it was a dodgy call.

A woman with a South Asian accent rang me from this number, saying she was from my broadband company, BT. She started with "I'm calling from your broadband provider, BT. How's your afternoon going?" I told her I was alright but said straight away that she was a scammer. She then cut the call without a word. BT isn't even my internet provider, but honestly, I would have been wary even if they were.

They say they’re ringing to sort out a refund because of an overcharge on some home appliance I bought. They’re super pushy though. I’ve blocked at least 5 different numbers this morning and they just don’t stop calling. I’ve ‘gave’ them a fake name, card details, expiry date, and email - luckily all made up. They rang me at like 7:50 in the morning! Hung up just as I was about to pick up. Honestly, I wasn’t pleased at all getting woken up that early just for no reason. Seeing the other comments here makes me feel lucky I didn’t actually get on the phone.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from BT, saying my 1572 call blocking service needed an update. I said I wasn’t convinced she (had an Asian accent) was really from BT, then she just hung up. So I rang 1572 myself and blocked the number straight away.

Today, I got a call from someone pretending to be from a motorboat company. I figured out pretty quick he was trying to get me to use my laptop. Got a call from some rude bloke pretending to be from Microsoft. Told him I’m on the Telephone Preference Service and he shouldn’t be ringing me, but he just brushed it off saying it was a crucial Microsoft call. Then he acted all confused like I didn’t get how important it was! Ended the call there.
