Got a call from a polite woman, told me about some new funding for homeowners about energy bills or something. I just said “no thanks,” and she was really nice about it, no pushy attitude or anything. This one felt kinda different from the other comments here - maybe it’s a fake number or something? Either way, I blocked it just to be safe.

Got a call from the same number but now it's some new scam, looks like. A woman with a South African accent rang up asking to talk to the Director about "business financial aid".

Received a call from them at my workplace today, and lo and behold, it was the same old tale. When I politely refused to engage, the woman with the northern accent simply cut the line. It's clearly a dodgy scheme!

Just like a few others have said, a woman phoned about a chat we supposedly had last December. She said the school book packs are ready and asked which school I wanted them sent to. Total nonsense. They mentioned an invoice for £189, I told them they must be mistaken as I never spoke to them before. They said they’d find a recording and send it over to me. Don’t trust a word they say!

It seems I've somehow committed to backing a children's awareness initiative in schools. Honestly, that’s far from the truth-you're spinning a tale! And just like that, the call cut off.

I encountered a woman who was obviously reading from a script. I interrupted her in the midst of her spiel and said, "Pardon, could you please repeat that?" She asked which part, and I requested she go over the last few lines again. RESPONSE: Well, that's enough of that then! Haha, I do enjoy getting under their skin a bit. The trick really is to engage with them and then take a sharp turn, leaving them hanging! Although, if we managed to do it right, it might actually turn into a decent little money-maker!

I recently received a call from this number, where the caller claimed that I had donated to a drug rehabilitation service, which is absolutely untrue. She mentioned a fee of £189.00 attached to it. When I pressed her for details and requested to listen to the recording of our conversation, she abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Had a rather dodgy phone call earlier from a woman with a strong northern accent. She claimed I had agreed back in November to support an initiative for a school awareness programme. Absolutely no chance, I thought! She attempted to persuade me that I had indeed consented and insisted that someone would ring me back to clear things up. I pointed out that I had never received such a call and labelled it a scam, which she flatly rejected. However, she then hastily assured me not to fret before cutting the conversation short. It’s high time these con artists found themselves proper work, and surely this number can be traced for some legal action to put an end to their mischief!

They’ve started ringing up businesses too! We've added them to our blacklist, so just a heads up to everyone!

I received a call today, the 18th of May, from a lady with a northern accent claiming that I had consented to back some sort of Drug Awareness initiative. When I clarified that I hadn’t made any such agreement, she assured me that she would verify this and get in touch again. I suspect this is a scam!

As of the 17th of May, 2017, this lot are still peddling their so-called drug awareness scheme, which is nothing more than a con!

Just got a call from 01613900452, same old story as usual. They only ring me about once a year. I told the woman on the line it’s a scam and that I’d be contacting the police and Action Fraud. She tried to say she had a recording of the call and would be sending the invoice straight to our accounts! Such daft people wasting everyone’s time. Don’t get caught out - make sure you report it to Action Fraud.

0161 390 0452 - Got a call from someone named Emma about Child Safety, said we talked about it last November - complete nonsense. When I challenged her and said she was mistaken she got really rude and just hung up on me. I tried calling the number back to complain properly but it just went to an answering machine.

Got a call from a woman named Rebecca about some kind of ad campaign for schools about alcohol and drug problems. She said I’d given some details ages ago and now the info pack was ready to send out. When she asked which school to send it to, she mentioned a local one but I told her I wasn’t bothered. Then she just ended the call.

How can we put an end to this nonsense! A lady from the North contacted me, claiming to know me by name, and said I had pledged my support for some drug-related fundraiser. She mentioned she wanted to send me a thank-you gift. The company she referred to provided a name and a registered address using my details, despite the fact that this business shut down over a year ago! To top it off, she insisted on getting my home address to send me an invoice or, believe it or not, I could settle for a reduced amount-less than the supposed £180 I had "sponsored"-if I paid over the phone. It seems they’re out for public exposure too!

Got a ring on my work line this morning, someone wanting to speak to my wife. When I mentioned she wasn’t around, they said they’d shoot over a quick email - which seemed odd as she doesn’t have a company email. I found the comments really helpful, I've had calls kind of like this before but never bothered to report them to TPS, thought maybe it was just an honest mix-up. Does anyone know the name of the company behind these calls so I can lodge a complaint?

I received a call earlier today from someone claiming I had sponsored an initiative and they were checking my details. When I confirmed that the name was indeed correct, I mentioned that I had never contributed to their cause. To my surprise, the line went dead immediately. I just got a call from a woman with a northern accent who spoke so quickly I couldn’t catch what she was saying at first. When I asked her to repeat where she was calling from and what she wanted, she got really annoyed straight away. She started repeating the same spiel she gave me back in October about a one-time sponsorship for some school leaflets and asked which school I wanted to pick. When I questioned her again about what she was saying, she got quite rude, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from a lady with a northern accent yesterday claiming I’d sponsored some school back in November. I told her it wasn’t me, which it definitely wasn’t, and she said she’d send me a recording before hanging up. Then today, another woman called, this time with a southern accent, saying pretty much the same thing. When I told her they’d already called and it’s not my doing, she apologised and said they'd take my name off their list. Sure, like that’ll actually happen!

I received a call yesterday from a lady sporting a northern accent, claiming that I had sponsored a school or some such thing back in November. I firmly told her that I hadn't a clue what she was on about, which was indeed the truth. She mentioned something about providing proof through a recording before abruptly ending the call. Then, this morning, I was greeted by another woman, this time with a southern twang, who repeated a similar tale. When I informed her about the previous call and reiterated that I had no involvement, she kindly apologised and assured me that my details would be removed from their database. I suppose I'll believe it when I see it!

I received a call earlier today claiming that I owed the sum of £395, but they were willing to reduce it by £60 if I settled the amount instantly for some books related to a drug awareness initiative. They knew my name and had access to my business address along with information about nearby schools. When I inquired whether they had my signature, as I certainly wouldn't have consented to sponsor anything at such a hefty cost, they mentioned they had a recording and promised to ring me back.

I just received a rather irate phone call from a rather unpleasant female, inquiring about my co-director. She claimed he had teamed up with them for some school sponsorship nonsense. As usual with these kinds of inquiries, I probed her with some pointed questions, which resulted in her losing her temper and abruptly cutting off our conversation. It’s astonishing how dimwitted these callers can be, yet all it takes is one unsuspecting individual to fall for their tricks daily. They deserve to face serious consequences for their despicable behaviour. I wish this message could find its way to those naive souls out there, though I have my doubts.

It appears that this is ongoing because I just got a call from a woman with a Northern accent, pitching me the exact same £189 'sponsorship' offer that I supposedly consented to last year. I've encountered this number on two separate occasions. This number has been pestering me for months, so I thought, why not pick up the phone and see what's what? I'd seen some chatter on here about it potentially being a scam, so I was on my guard. The caller introduced herself as Casey and claimed to be associated with Drug and Alcohol Awareness for Children. She mentioned I had previously agreed to sponsor them a few months back. I told her I didn’t recall such an arrangement, and she promptly said she’d forward the matter to ‘queries’. I’m quite baffled by the whole ruse since she didn’t press me much further. I kept probing, and she repeated her spiel about the sponsorship, but I maintained my position of ignorance. Once again, she mentioned ‘queries’ and then abruptly cut the call. So now, I’m left wondering if that’s the last I’ve heard of them, or whether I’ll receive another call from this elusive ‘queries’ department!

I received a rather courteous call from this number, with a lady who claimed I had consented to support a drug and alcohol awareness programme for a local school last September, acting on behalf of my former company. She inquired about which school I intended to sponsor. However, I had never engaged in such a discussion, and when I informed her that my business had been voluntarily dissolved for several months due to my retirement, she seemed taken aback, mumbled something about not knowing what had gone awry, and promptly ended the call. Clearly, this is a scam, and it’s disheartening to think they would exploit the good cause of aiding at-risk children.
