Got a call from this number but didn’t answer. Didn’t leave any voicemail and saw that lots of people say it’s a scam, so I’ve blocked it now.

I often watch scam catchers, and this one pops up a lot - they usually say the calls come from centres in India. Because of this, I’m labelling the call as risky and think it should be reported. Don’t answer calls from numbers you don’t know, and block them instead of deleting. If you just delete, they might keep using that number to ring you again. If they get your landline, just hang up straight away.

If you get a call from an unknown number, don’t answer it - block it instead of deleting, because deleting might let them keep ringing you. If they manage to get your landline, just hang up straight away.

Picked up but no one spoke on the other end.

This number has rung me a few times and everytime I answered, they asked to speak to my husband about PPI. They wouldn’t let him talk much and kept pushing him to click a link she sent and sign in the box online, saying it’d make the investigation faster. When he said no, she got quite rude. He said he was hanging up and did just that. Now he’s getting emails reminding him to sign. I’ve blocked the number on my phone and just delete the emails as they arrive.

Lately, I've been getting loads of calls from numbers I don’t recognise. I usually don’t pick up unless I know who it is. I figure if it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail anyway. Most of the time, it's just spam. I’m from India too, but honestly, a lot of these dodgy calls seem to be coming from there! Proper annoying!

The first person talking had such a strong accent, it was really hard to understand her. But what struck me was when the scammer rattled off my full address, phone number and even my full name (which I never use, only a nickname). I told them straight up they had no business using my private info, it’s a clear violation of GDPR and I'd be reporting them to the ICO. Then some bloke got on the line, promising to delete my details from their system. I said 'You better bloody do' and then ended the call.

They were acting like a job recruiter but it was clear it was a scam, the sound was really bad and kept cutting out once I picked up. I just ended the call straight away.

This number has called me around 5 times this week. I usually ignore it, but decided to pick up the last time just to find out who it was. The caller said his name was Jeremiah and had a really strong Indian accent. When I asked who he wanted, he said he was trying to reach me by name. Then he said something about "calling from the Payment" before suddenly hanging up. Seems like just another telemarketer to me. I’ve blocked the number and wouldn’t waste my time with it again.

Got a call on my mobile from a guy with an Asian accent, asking for me by name. When I asked who he was, he said he was calling from Henry Goldstein. He told me I might be entitled to a refund relating to some financial dealings. Then he started giving me my full address and asked if I still lived there. I told him I had no idea how he got my info and firmly told him to take me off their list and never call back. Ended the call rather rudely, telling him exactly what I thought. I’ve blocked the number now - just another one to add to the 44 already blocked.

Got a call from 01613900394 today about some PPI claim. The woman on the phone spoke with an accent I struggled to catch properly. I asked what company she was from, and she just rattled off some letters like A E N R Y V O L E or something. I told her she wasn’t allowed to call me without my permission under GDPR and demanded my details be removed from their records. I warned her if I get any more calls I’ll report it and see if they can get fined. I ended the call politely. When I rang the number back, the automated message said it’s for Market Research. Weird!

I honestly dont know who these folks are or what they want but they have been ringing me about 15 times in the past two weeks. This is why I just dont pick up when I dont know the number. I can usually tell its a sales or spam call anyway since they never bother to leave a voicemail. Luckily I heard today the government is gonna start punishing both the companies and the people behind these annoying calls with fines if they keep it up.
