Here we go again, another ring from the same lot. Just got a call off someone named “Karen” saying she was from SEN UK - couldn’t find anything about them anywhere online. She was asking for my manager and claimed it was a polite thank you call. Told her we already sorted this yesterday and to stop calling, she said she'd check it out and then hung up. Fingers crossed this is the final time they bother me. If they call again, I’m going to bring up GDPR and see how quick they hang up after that.

Called me from a work number saying my boss had supported some Child Safety Campaign this year. He hasn’t at all. Right after she said she’d send him an email, she hung up pretty sharpish.

Got a call at work from someone asking for one of the Directors, by name. The woman said her name was Louise and claimed she’d just talked to him. That can’t be true because he’s not even in the office today! When I told her that, she just ended the call. Seems like a proper scam.

Just got a call from these lot claiming I signed up to sponsor kids for a year back last April, which is complete nonsense. After some arguing, she finally said she'd forward it to their queries team. Honestly, what a load of rubbish these people pull.

Today, I got a call claiming to be from Childline! I just ended the call straight away. It’s awful how these people exploit others’ kindness and bad luck to make money. I reckon the police will probably track this scammer down soon enough.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Child Protection UK. The women I spoke to were really kind, and I’ve done a couple of campaigns with them so far. I also helped sponsor some materials that were sent out to secondary schools nearby. They even sent me a thank you pack afterwards, and the schools got their informative books too. Definitely not a scam!

I picked up the phone and this girl started saying some really disturbing stuff like how many ways she could ### me, then just laughed and hung up. I looked up the number 1471 and it showed up as cpuk. I’m not pleased at all about getting such a scary message, so I’m planning to report it to the police later today.

Got a call today, 12th July 2016, from a woman who sounded pretty young. She claimed they’d tried to get in touch earlier this year and were putting together some sort of magazine about child safety. She said it’d be sent to a local school near me but didn’t specify which one - there’s like ten or something nearby anyway. I just let her keep going until she suddenly asked for £187 to put an advert in for my business. That’s when I told her straight up, “I haven’t got a clue what you’re on about and I’m not even a business.” She sounded a bit flustered, muttered “Oh,” then just cut the call.

This has got to be a total scam. They claimed I signed up to pay £189 last December for some child safety campaign, which is just not true. When I asked them for a recording of me agreeing, they couldn’t provide one because it simply doesn’t exist. Honestly, this needs to be looked into by trading standards. Absolutely don’t hand over any cash to them!

Being a shop owner for quite a while now, I was shocked when I got a ring from this number today. This kind of scam's been around ages and I've had it attempted on me loads of times. Honestly, it’s about time someone did something about it.

Got a call earlier, they asked right away for me by my name. Said they needed to send a bill for £189. Same deal I guess.

I kept missing calls from this number over the last few days, but they finally managed to get hold of me this morning. The woman on the other end, who called herself Elaine, claimed to be from Child Protection. She told me I'd supposedly agreed to sponsor some leaflets about drug awareness for local schools. When I asked for the name of her organisation, she sounded a bit hesitant and just repeated “Child Protection.” Then, when I asked for an address, she abruptly ended the call. Bit odd, isn’t it? I've had similar calls before, where they said I’d sponsored a Police Federation magazine - which I later found out doesn’t exist. Pretty obvious this is a scam. Best not to pick up at all.

Got a call earlier claiming to be Louise from some 'Child Safety' group, asking for my wife by her first name. They kept saying she’d pledged £189 last December for some cause. Luckily, my wife swiftly told them she never made that promise, and they just dropped the call. Total scammers if you ask me.

Back in May 2016, I got a call claiming I'd signed up to donate something. It sounded pretty believable, so I ended up paying £159. They sent me a booklet and a DVD they said were for schools. Then just this June, I was contacted again saying I owed another £159. I said no way and stopped them from using my card. When I checked their address on Google Street View afterwards, I realised I should've done that from the start and also Googled the number on unknownphone.com. Lesson learnt for next time!

Similar to what others have mentioned about this number, I got a call on my phone from a woman called "Eileen" who claimed we’d talked back in August about a donation from my company for raising drug awareness in schools. She even had my name, company details, and address. I told her I’ve never had any conversation like that before, then ended the call and decided to block the number straight away.

Got a call from this number earlier. Told them to take me off their call list, and they cheekily said they’d ring my hubby on his mobile instead! Let’s just say, he’s not nearly as friendly as me, so that should be interesting! Hope they’re ready for it! Haha!

Got calls from some lot about books supposedly for Children Protection UK. They claimed I’d agreed to pay up and kept demanding cash. The company names and phone numbers they gave sounded dodgy, definitely not legit. They kept ringing over and over until I finally picked up and told them I’d be reporting them. Proper nuisance.
