Got a missed call from a number flagged as scam on my phone, but I picked up anyway. They’re fishing for old folks who might be easy targets. If you sound clear and confident on the phone, they usually just hang up since they can’t tell if you’re elderly or not. I’m a pensioner myself but I reckon I don’t sound weak, so they dropped the call as soon as I answered. Proper nasty lot, these scammers preying on older people and trying to steal their cash.

Got calls non-stop from someone saying they’re with the housing disrepair dept. This time it’s an Indian guy, not the usual Scouse bloke. They ring all day long, totally relentless. Proper fed up with all the bother.

For the past three years, I've been getting calls from this number about a Millie Smith. I've told them loads of times they've got the wrong number but they just keep ringing. They say they’re from the London Borough housing department and offer housing repairs. It’s really annoying!

Got a call today claiming to be from the housing dept about some repairs. When I asked how they’d got my phone number, the guy said it was from some old records. I told him I’ve never even lived in a council property, and then he just ended the call! Total scam, be careful.
