Got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian, saying he was in charge of council repairs. I asked which housing association he was with, and he said something like “none, we just fix things for free for them.” I told him I actually own my place. Then he asked why I said I live in council housing. I told him I never said that (could’ve rolled my eyes!). After that, he just hung up on me. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me. Even though the number showed as coming from Manchester, I reckon it was coming from India.

A bloke with an Asian accent called saying he does council maintenance work. When I asked which housing association he was with, he said something like “none, we handle the repairs for free for them.” I told him I’m a homeowner, and he went on to ask why I said I live in council housing. I never said that at all (facepalm). Next thing, he just ended the call! Totally a dodgy scam if you ask me. Even though the number showed as Manchester, I bet the call was actually from India.

So I got a call from someone who didn’t even say who they were. I let them know the person they wanted wasn’t home and said I’d relay any info. They said they were from some Tenancy Deposit Helpline, but honestly, the guy sounded really lost and all over the place.

Got a call from someone claiming to be part of a housing disrepair service meant to assist council or housing association residents get repairs done quicker than the council. But since I’m not in that situation, I joked that I live in a tent on a roundabout with no landlord at all! 😂 The guy’s accent sounded South Asian, like he was calling from an overseas call centre. Funny thing, almost the exact same call came through last week from 01613885448.
