I received a rather intrusive call from an energy firm the other day. The chap on the other end was rather insistent, probing into my reasons for moving away from their service. Got a call from Eon marketing trying to find out why I changed providers. Told them I never asked for any marketing calls, but the caller insisted it wasn’t a marketing call and was pretty rude about it. Note to Eon and others - if you can’t give a good deal upfront, why would anyone stick around just because you match a price after they’ve switched? Not impressed at all, glad I’m moving on.

They seemed to know my name and inquired if I had any unpaid bills or similar matters. I'm all square, so it's clearly a dodgy call.

I'm thoroughly annoyed with this outfit that keeps ringing me from various similar numbers. They seem to go by the name of Credit something or other. I've blocked them repeatedly, yet they still manage to ring through, even though I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. It's infuriating!
