Upon answering, there was an automated message informing us that we had been contacted on behalf of one of their clients by Ant Marketing. It stated that if we wished to opt out of further calls, we should press the 1 button. We chose not to do so, so it seems we may get more calls down the line. Interestingly enough, while Ant Marketing appears to be based in Sheffield, this number is linked to Manchester. So far, no real damage has been done-just a bit of our time wasted on investigating.

So, we did just that, and were then asked to provide our name and number, which apparently would get us removed from their records. We complied, so now we’re just playing the waiting game! They also seem to use the number 0161 3800242, which belongs to the same company, Ant Marketing.
