The other day, we received a call from a number we didn’t recognise, which we unfortunately didn’t answer. Then today, they rang back, saying they were from O2. Now, here's where it gets a bit fishy: despite us being Vodafone customers, they mixed in an offer for a SIM card boasting 600 minutes and 1000 texts for £20 a week, plus free weekends-just like the deal we’ve got with Vodafone! Oh, and they even mentioned free home broadband! The moment they asked for my bank details, my instincts kicked in, and alarm bells started ringing. I just flat-out said no, and then suddenly, they had their "manager" on the line trying to spin a yarn to convince me otherwise!

We've been inundated with missed calls from this number lately, and every time we attempt to call back, we’re greeted by an O2 voice message saying they can't connect the call. They then offer an 0800 number for stopping those pesky marketing calls - it’s 0800 013 6671, if anyone’s interested. To be honest, we haven't tried it yet.

Not long ago, we received a call from these folks but couldn't pick it up. Today, however, they returned with a follow-up, asserting they were from O2. They claimed that despite us being with Vodafone, they could provide us with a sim card packed with 600 minutes and 10 texts for just twenty quid a week, plus free weekends - the very same offer we have with Vodafone! To top it off, they also hinted at complimentary home broadband. That raised a few red flags, particularly when he asked for our bank details. As soon as we declined, he tried to get his manager involved to pressure us further!
