I’ve just discovered that this is linked to Orange, which is rather puzzling since we’re with O2. Quite frustrating, to be honest! I really want to figure out how to stop this nonsense. Any advice would be appreciated!

I haven't the faintest idea who they might be.

I received a missed call from that number as well, but curiously, we don’t even have an Orange contract; I’m with o2. It seems we’re not alone in this, as I’ve seen others mention 0161 missed calls too. Specifically, I got one from 0161 3800 158-I've no clue who it was, but I'm assuming it’s from the same company.

I reckon this was linked to Orange, one of those firms that hawks various mobile phone contracts.

It’s quite clear that these folks are making quite the effort. They’ve even set up another call centre in Belfast, seemingly up to the same antics. What puzzles me is how often they claim to have sourced their information from public records or the open data market, which frankly doesn’t appear to exist in this context. I’d recommend documenting all the phone numbers and reporting it to the DTI, as there’s a hefty £5,000 penalty for such violations.

Received a call but no one picked up. Not surprised, really. I'm currently on a Pay As You Go plan with O2.

This number called my mobile, but I didn’t pick up. We actually removed our number from the list of contacts last month.

I've got no idea who they are.

We didn’t pick up the call, as we typically don’t. However, we often take to Google immediately to look up the numbers, and this site tends to provide the answers I’m after. I've encountered similar situations with various other firms, yet we consistently avoid responding. That seems to be the most effective approach.
