This number seems to be quite elusive. It originally had a Manchester area code, but I heard that a company called Windsor Telecom was offloading the prefix. With this number, you could potentially redirect calls from just about anywhere globally. It does have the whiff of a scam, but who's to say it isn't just something more harmless?

Allegedly, it's associated with the University of Sussex, but we couldn't help but ask, "When exactly did the University of Sussex relocate to Manchester?"

It’s clear that this was a pre-recorded message. What really gets me is the cheek of these folks telling you to "Press nine now if you wish to be removed from our lists." Classic scam tactics if you ask me! Quite the stitch-up, if I do say so myself.

Could anyone shed light on who this might be?

I was looking for some personal details, specifically email addresses. The moment I declined to share mine, they turned quite irritable.

Claiming to be affiliated with the University of Sussex but ringing from a Manchester number? Seems rather dodgy, if you ask me! I can’t help but think of 'fraud' and 'scam' as the first phrases that pop into my head. Something doesn’t add up here!

Had a couple of calls from these folks, but both times I got their voicemail. They didn’t bother to leave a message, so I thought I’d do some digging on this site. Turns out, it seems a bit dodgy to me!
