An individual with a noticeable Indian accent recently unnerved my mother, claiming to represent a financial crime unit. He went on to assert that there was a warrant out for my arrest from the UK police concerning some supposed tax evasion. Honestly, it was a feeble attempt at scamming!

I've reported these scam calls to the UK police's Action Fraud and the IOM financial crime unit. It's disgraceful that people stoop to this level.

i got a few calls from them, like 3 times, trying to sell me a van service that they said was free for the first time. when i tried to find out how much it would cost after the freebie, they just cut the call. feels like a total scam, would avoid for sure.

I got a call from someone claiming they were working to make the travel industry better and that they were contacting me because apparently I have or had a timeshare. I told them straight up that I don't have one and never did, and I wasn't interested anyway. The caller was quite polite and friendly, and thanked me nicely without any hint of rudeness.
