I’ve been receiving calls from a prepaid funeral plan firm known as PMF. I've already communicated both online and over the phone that I have no interest in their offerings, either now or at any point in the future. Yet, they keep bombarding me with calls and leaving voicemails - it's incredibly vexing! To add insult to injury, I’ve begun receiving emails from a YANK company promoting their own funeral services! It’s quite clear that both these organisations are American and likely share some connection. I remember reading ages ago about how these Americans are infiltrating the UK market, setting up their own funeral services, and snapping up the traditional local undertakers. I have received numerous short phone calls on my mobile in the past two months. If it's not this one, I must have had at least 10 more. They ring for a brief moment and then hang up. The same applies to my landline calls. I choose not to answer any of them as it is a waste of their time. To all the annoying callers, please stop bothering me.

We decided to purchase a BT 8500 phone, which is equipped with Call Guardian functionality, and we have been very satisfied with our decision. If a caller's number is not on our list of approved contacts, they are prompted to state their name before we receive the call. We then have the choice to either accept the call by pressing a button or block the call altogether by pressing another button. It would be ideal if the authorities could take action to address these annoying calls, but in the meantime, this new phone has been a saving grace for my sanity.
