They’ve been ringing me loads over the last few days. Normally I just ignore numbers I don’t know, but today I picked up. A woman asked if I was Miss (my first name), and I said yes. She then said her name was Christine Smith and that she was ringing about PPI, saying there was a cheque for £2,500 ready for me. I told her to hold on, but she kept going. I said ‘I’m not interested, please stop calling me’, but she just carried on. In the end, I had to tell her to f*** off before hanging up!

They’re just trying to cash in on others' misfortunes. Won’t take no for an answer, really aggressive and rude.

Received a call from this number earlier today, claiming that I was entitled to a refund exceeding £2500 due to overpayments on past credit cards. The woman on the other end started rattling off the names of various credit card companies in the UK, asking me which ones I had used. I replied that if they genuinely had money owed to me, they ought to know the source of their information. I made it clear that I wasn't interested. At that point, she became quite rude, exclaiming, “If you don’t want the money, then fine!" The lass had an Indian accent.
